CCTV does not prevent crime

As the concerns for security are rising around the world, everybody has taken to the cctv video cameras as the solution for the problem. There is a 100 fold increase in the purchase of the cctv systems.

The boost has in-turn driven the prices lower. You can buy the cameras with equipment cheaper than $500, which was not quiet possible earlier.

Now with all those cameras out there, you would believe that you are safe. THAT IS NOT TRUE.

The major problems why cctv cameras fail is that when professionals go to work, the first thing they do is take it out. So whatever happens subsequently is not recorded at all.

So what is the solution you ask? Real life guard monitoring. The concept is not new. What is new is that there are companies out there that can provide real time camera viewing at very affordable rates. Will that stop the thieves from breaking the camera? No. But when the even happens, the real life guard will swing in to action and take the requires steps, including informing the local law enforcement agency.

Tracing the thief on recorded camera can be helpful. Often the damage done is not repairable.
